A poet, a son, and a friend. Brandt Schubbe has been writing poetry since he was 24. His inspiration comes from a drive to lash out at his feelings in a positive manner. He has had moments of depression, mania, and schizophrenia. He is inspired by friends such as Matt Weerts, Thomas Buckingham, Paul Dumas, and his deceased father.
A lot of Brandt’s poetry is dedicated to his life on the road. He has gone on cross country trips out west six times. He has lived in Denver, Colorado. He has been found stranded in North Dakota, Milwaukee, and Fort Collins, Colorado. His trip, he labels, Walkabouts. It is where he has received visions of greater than reality.
Mr. Schubbe currently resides in Minneapolis, where he is studying Professional Writing.
